The man that is flying the drone over her home has a camera, and if he wants, he can see all what is happening inside of her home. He says that he is only watching the street, but the camera could be directed to the second or third floor. If the family is with people or doing whatever they could do, the man could be spying them and all about them could be known by everyone.
Also, legal is another concern area, because their privacy is violated, they asked for the law to change this, but because there is no law, they could do nothing. If they find out that the camera of the robot is spying the couple, they could actually sue him because of the privacy violation.

So the drone is the “responsible” for the family feeling “violated”. If there was no drone to be controlled, the man could not see anything inside the house or the garden from the air.
