Political and legal because if you discover the persons that hacked these pages you could involve the government of that place and sue them or even put them in jail. Morally cause it is wrong to know somebody else life without the permission of that person.

Yes. Short term. All of them are affected in either way. Very large group of people. Global. Yes if the hackers use the information they got, they could sell it and ruin the business.
Conclusion:
The companies for not having a more reliable security system. That lot of people could be in danger and that the information that the hackers got could be used to ruin the company. Modify the security system and make it a more reliable security system. I don’t know if it’s easy but just getting a better security system and avoiding that the information gets to the wrong person´s hands.
